Learn With Ms. Price is the professional, independent teaching business of Rebecca Price, B.A. With a Bachelor of Arts in English, along with over 15 years of experience teaching children in a variety of educational settings, Ms. Price now specializes in writing classes for children ages 5-14 years old.
Ms. Price is passionate about helping all learners grow into confident writers!
The "magic" to her method is that she doesn't just tell children how to write. Rather, she gently guides learners to use writing as a way to connect with their own, wonderful voice. Ms. Price accomplishes this by taking the time to learn about each child's interests, passions, and dreams and then builds customized lessons around those things. Through this process, children not only become better writers, but they become more confident individuals!
Ms. Price’s professional background includes a Bachelor or Arts in English, along with teaching certifications in Early Childhood - 4th grade (all subjects), English for grades 6-8, and ESL (all levels). Ms. Price spent nearly a decade teaching grades Pre-K through 4th grade in a traditional brick and mortar public school classroom. She then transitioned to teaching privately, where she has had the privilege of teaching over 500 children from all over the world!
Growing up in a homeschooling family, Ms. Price understands that home educating families do not like to be “boxed in” by public school standards, and she is very comfortable meeting families wherever they are on their homeschooling journey. Ms. Price provides both supplemental assistance and full-curriculum writing instruction for home educating families.
Having taught in the public school system for nearly a decade, Ms. Price is also very familiar with grade-level standards and enjoys providing supplemental support to learners who attend a traditional brick and mortar school. Sometimes, a learner needs assistance to get caught up to grade-level standards. Other times, learners wish to work at a more accelerated pace than what is being offered in their classroom. Either way, Ms. Price can help!
